In 2015, Vijay Kumar Choudhary of JDU was the winner in this seat beating Ranjeet Nirguni of BJP by a margin of 34044 votes which was 22.36% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Vijay Kumar Chaudhary of JDU won this seat defeating Ramashraya Sahni of RJD by a margin of 17557 votes which was 14.79% of the total votes polled for the seat.
