In 2015, Guljar Devi of JDU was the winner in this seat beating Ram Sundar Yadav of BJP by a margin of 13415 votes which was 8.46% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Guljar Devi of JDU won this seat defeating Virendra Kumar Chaudhary of RJD by a margin of 12344 votes which was 9.74% of the total votes polled for the seat.
