In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Lakhendra Kumar Raushan of BJP won in this constituency beating Shiv Chandra Ram of RJD by a margin of 25839 votes which was 15.58% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Prema Chaudhary of RJD was the winner in this seat beating Mahendra Baitha of BJP by a margin of 12461 votes which was 8.5% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Mahendra Baitha of BJP won this seat defeating Prema Chaudhary of RJD by a margin of 16667 votes which was 14.5% of the total votes polled for the seat.
