In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Rajesh Kumar Singh of BJP won in this constituency beating Ejya Yadav of RJD by a margin of 15114 votes which was 10.2% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Ejya Yadav of RJD was the winner in this seat beating Rajesh Kumar Singh of IND by a margin of 23431 votes which was 18.81% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Rana Gangeshwar Singh of BJP won this seat defeating Ajay Kumar Bulganin of RJD by a margin of 14351 votes which was 13.65% of the total votes polled for the seat.
