In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Ram Singh of BJP won in this constituency beating Jayesh Manglam Singh of INC by a margin of 30020 votes which was 16.51% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Raghaw Sharan Pandey of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Bhishm Sahani of JDU by a margin of 8183 votes which was 4.88% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Prabhat Ranjan Singh of JDU won this seat defeating Ram Prasad Yadav of RJD by a margin of 49055 votes which was 36.62% of the total votes polled for the seat.
