In 2015, Shailesh Kumar of JDU was the winner in this seat beating Himanshu Kunvar of LJP by a margin of 15476 votes which was 10.51% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Shailesh Kumar of JDU won this seat defeating Sadhana Devi of LJP by a margin of 21142 votes which was 18.42% of the total votes polled for the seat.
