In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Ram Vishun Singh of RJD won in this constituency beating Sribhagwan Singh Kushwaha of LJP by a margin of 22107 votes which was 13.16% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Ram Vishun Singh of RJD was the winner in this seat beating Rakesh Raushan of BLSP by a margin of 10195 votes which was 7.03% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Dinesh Kumar Singh of RJD won this seat defeating Sribhagwan Singh Kushwaha of JDU by a margin of 10186 votes which was 7.82% of the total votes polled for the seat.
