In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Awadhesh Singh of BJP won in this constituency beating Deo Kumar Chaurasia of RJD by a margin of 2990 votes which was 1.56% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Awadhesh Singh of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Jagannath Prasad Rai of INC by a margin of 12195 votes which was 6.83% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Nityanand Roy of BJP won this seat defeating Rajendra Rai of LJP by a margin of 16609 votes which was 12.45% of the total votes polled for the seat.
